I have never spoken about other churches that have or are going through the same process that we have just gone through, but I was made aware today that a dear friend of mine trusted another member of the clergy to be like minded only to learn that his confidences and the confidences of his parishoners going through the discernment process of staying or going were being whispered right into the bishop's ear.
This person was a wolf in the fold. Another reason why my former bishop is my former bishop.
